Ali Larijani, Veteran Iranian Leader, Passes Away

The brave Iranian leader Ali Larijani was killed in an Israeli airstrike on 17 March 2026. He was also known as the right-hand of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who had already been killed in an Israeli airstrike using heavy bunker-buster bombs on 28 February 2026.

Ali Larijani was born in Najaf city of IRAQ in 03 June 1958. He served as the speaker of the Parliament of Iran from 2008 to 2020.

According to think tanks, Ali Larijani was one of the most important person in the ceasefire between the United States and Iran during the previously occurred war in June 2025, in which the U.S. claimed that it had destroyed Iran’s nuclear program.

Moreover, some think tanks also say that Ali Larijani was eliminated because Israel does not want a ceasefire this time. Others suggest that it may have happened unintentionally, and that Israel was actually targeting someone else.

Israel wants to continue this time to achieve something bigger in the Middle East, as seen from previous conflicts such as begin in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2023, and 2026. Think tanks believe that they aim for “Greater Israel,” which is large part of the Middle East.
